As a young girl, I used to watch my mother bake cookies in our small kitchen. I would smell the delightful treats as they cooked in the oven and waited eagerly for the minutes to pass until I could taste the freshly made treats. As I stand in my kitchen today, baking treats of my own, I always have a smile on my face remembering the roots of my baking joy.
